The event is organized into two main phases:
Phase 1: Kick-off & Training @ DevFest Modena (October 3)
The first phase kicks off at DevFest Modena. During this opening day, participants will learn how to use Google AI Studio and other advanced generative AI tools. You will build Block Explorer, an interactive geospatial game that combines real-world map data with generative AI. You will use AI Studio to generate the application and integrate it with Google Maps Platform and the Gemini API. You will then learn how to deploy the finished application directly to Cloud Run, making it available to everyone. Afterwards, working teams will be formed to collaborate offline over the following weeks to develop and refine their app prototype.
Phase 2: Pitch & Grand Finale @ Smart Life Festival (October 16)
The final phase will take place during the Smart Life Festival. Teams will take the stage to present their solutions to an exceptional jury, who will evaluate the quality, innovation, and impact of the projects to award the winning app.
⚠️ Participation Rules & Limited Seats:
- Seat Allocation: Filling out the form DOES NOT guarantee participation. Seats are limited and will be assigned based on preference order (1st choice priority, then 2nd choice) and submission timestamp.
- Roll Call at Room Entrance: Registered attendees will be called by name at the door. Please arrive 10 minutes before the session starts to ensure you don't miss roll call.
- Walk-ins: Any remaining seats or no-show spots will be offered to attendees without prior registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Event Ticket: Holding a valid DevFest Modena general admission ticket is mandatory.
