Lightning talks are ten-minute sessions proposed by event attendees.
Anyone can propose a talk.
Schedule
The accepted talks, while time permits:
Kubernetes for Frontend Exists, and It's Open Source — Lorenzo De Francesco
Microfrontends are often presented as the answer to scaling teams and speeding up development. In practice, that promise can turn into chaos: scattered repositories, incompatible versions, overlapping deployments, and configurations that become impossible to control. Module Federation or Web Components alone are not enough; the ecosystem needs a real platform to govern it from within, just as Kubernetes did for the backend. This lightning talk explains why that 'Kubernetes for the frontend' already exists, is open source, and can restore order to the disorder.
Customer-centric Business Intelligence & Operational Excellence — Kristina Krsteva
Customer-centric Business Intelligence and Operational Excellence: digitalisation trends, GenAI, Agentic AI, customer EDI through a personal case study, and innovative methods for automating workflows and processes.
Backpropagation? No Thanks! — Luca Di Vita
Replacing backpropagation in neural-network training with Crystal, a metaheuristic algorithm.
Fine-tuning Made Easy — Christian Toscano
An introduction to fine-tuning with Unsloth and Google Colab to create an LLM specialised for our use case in ten minutes.
Avalonia: Truly Cross-platform .NET! — Alessandro Francesconi
How one decision let me go to bed at 2 a.m. instead of 3 a.m.
Let's Containerise an App — Bryan Pedini
How to propose your lightning talk
Submit your talk in the “Lightning talk” channel on Telegram, including its title, your first and last name, and a short description.
Selected talks will be announced at lunchtime on Saturday, again on Telegram, and will appear on this page.
Speakers should arrive shortly before the session starts so they have time to prepare.
Please note: the ten-minute limit is strict 😉 and promotional talks are not accepted.
