Hypermedia-Driven Applications: The Browser Reloaded!

What if I told you that you can build modern, dynamic, responsive interfaces while putting the browser back at the centre of the experience? In this session, we will explore Hypermedia-Driven Applications (HDA): an approach that returns to the origins of REST and makes the most of the web’s often-overlooked native capabilities, including essential qualities such as accessibility.

Together, we will see how HTMX and a suitable backend can create interactive web applications while dramatically—and perhaps happily—reducing their dependence on JavaScript.
