IUNGO Spa began in 2001 with an idea from Andrea Tinti. Born in 1972, Andrea already had extensive experience consulting on supply-chain collaboration projects. He realised that EDI, the technology used at the time, did not reliably deliver the expected results. This led to an alternative technology designed to make customer-supplier interaction simpler and, above all, more effective: IUNGOmail.

IUNGOmail was patented in 2003 and has come a long way since then. Within a decade, the IUNGO network had welcomed 100 customers. In 2014, a new sales office opened in Milan alongside the Modena headquarters, extending the company’s reach.

IUNGO Spa’s growth has brought important milestones and industry recognition. The company has appeared in rankings such as Leader della Crescita and the FT 1000 – Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies, which recognise sustained revenue growth. It has also received recognition for financial strength through Cribis Prime Company certification.

Industry experts have also recognised IUNGO’s work. In 2021, Gartner included the solution in its Magic Quadrant for Procure-to-Pay suites and cited IUNGOmail as an example of supplier-integration technology.

As the customer base and opportunities grow, so do IUNGO’s team and network. New initiatives such as the Partnership Program and Consultant Certification have expanded that network with consultants who bring deep process expertise. The ecosystem has also welcomed InfoManager, acquired to give customers better support in multidimensional supplier measurement and assessment and in finding alternative suppliers.

Today, more than 400 customers use IUNGO’s SaaS platform. Forty million IUNGOmail messages are sent every year, reaching over 150,000 suppliers. We never stand still: there are many more ideas to develop, and we hope to share them with you soon.

Figures from the company’s careers page include:

  • 29% team growth rate in 2023
  • 10.13% staff turnover at IUNGO, compared with an average of 57.3% for developer roles in technology companies
  • 3,000 hours of employee training
  • 79.41% employee Net Promoter Score, based on whether employees would recommend IUNGO to a friend
